






Theresa Ann Burden was born March 11, 1987. She was raised in a small town called Tillson in the Hudson Valley of New York. Ever since she could hold a crayon and a piece of sidewalk chalk, she has expressed herself through the art of drawing.
She and her family moved to central North Carolina in the summer of 1998. She was eleven years old. Upon entering high school in 2001, she continued to pursue her passions for art. She graduated from Cardinal Gibbons High School in Raleigh, May of 2005.
Other interests besides art include music, theatre, and stand up comedy. These interests later contribute to her senior thesis and body of art work of her collegiate career, entitled, "Alter Egos: Illustrations of the Inner Self" May 15, 2010 she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Art from the University of North Carolina in Asheville.
A Word from the Artist
To me, art is the rawest form of self expression. When I am immersed in my art, I give voice to my innermost feelings and allow them to flow through my medium. I use bold colors to elicit an emotional response. My goal is for the artwork to come to life, if life were a lucid dream.
